Andrew & Shireen

Friendship at Kingston University is where it all began for Andrew and Shireen Morrison. Andrew studied IT and Shireen Media and Cultural Studies with Business.

Andrew's previous background and experience was managing an actor Jazzie Zonzolo, where they had their own comedy sketch show on channel AKA (Channel U) and interviewed people such as, Tinchy Stryder, Tinie Tempah, Chipmunk, JLS, Keri Hilson, D12, Ashley Walters, Wretch32, Ghetts, The Game, 50 Cent and many more. Andrew also occupied the same circles of major urban media platforms (GRM Daily; Link Up Tv & SBTV). Having grown up in the church circuit surrounded by gospel music, Andrew knew he was destined to utilise the skills he gathered to help grow and support the Christian music industry.

As a young adult, after many years at church, Shireen realised that many young Christians didn’t have anywhere to go outside of church to enjoy themselves. Her solution was to provide live entertainment and banqueting events , birthing Visions Events in 2012. The Host of talented Artists, live bands, poets and a five star hospitality services providing ticketed entertainment.

The success of these events grew rapidly and Andrew and Shireen absolutely loved the buzz of bringing the community together whilst uplifting the artists and musicians. After taking some time out to raise their family, the desire to re-ignite Visions Events encouraged the couple to complete a course at the Pentecostal Credit Union, orchestrated by Shane and Elaine Bowes which was dedicated to faith and business.

Shireen and Andrew were blessed to meet Claudine Reid MBE and her husband Patrick Reid, who later became their mentors and trained them on the fundamental skills needed to start and run a business.

In 2017, due to the success of the Banqueting events, Andrew and Shireen took the business to a higher level and established décor hire for events and weddings reaching non-believers from many backgrounds.

In 2018, Shireen and Andrew launched Visions TV Online and began to build bonds and captivate audiences within the Christian Music Industry. Both were involved with helping carve out what the newly structured GMIA (Gospel Music Industry Alliance) would look like and Shireen sat on the Nominees committee to help choose the members of the governing board.

Visions TV Online brought about many opportunities in a short timeframe such as interviewing the P.I.A (Poets in autumn), meeting Donnie MCclurkin and being media outlets for Premier Gospel awards 2019, Gospel Explosion Summit (UK meets USA) and the 2020 Stellar awards. They also organised and hosted a press conference for MBE and OBE honourees from the UK.

VTO connects Artists and new businesses with a meaningful network, and have teamed together with Sam Randall (CEO, UGN) in the USA, and have a radio billboard charted station called UK Radio1. This is also connected to other radio stations in the USA, Germany, Africa and the Caribbean.

Andrew and Shireen have just launched Visions TV Online Africa and have appointed Austine Holy in Nigeria as a representative. They have also partnered with Leonard Thompson (CEO, GOD Radio1 USA) and secured their own weekly show to help showcase British talent in the USA.

Through the 2020 pandemic and the challenging times, the pair maintained a strong stance in their faith, that God will always provide. Andrew had a major decision to make to stay in his job he had for 7 years or to go into the business full time. After months of fighting with himself he took the plunge and did the latter. Not before long, an opportunity arose and UnboundPR was purchased with money coming in at the exact same time. (Isn’t God good).

Both businesses compliment each other, whilst VTO creates content such as interviews, music videos, acoustic sessions, virtual events and provides marketing, UnboundPR sets up campaigns and places Artists on the radio, blogs, and Spotify playlists so they can be discovered. The ethos of the company still remains to ‘Uplift, Inspire, Engage’ their audience and community and are dedicated to empower artists to do the same.

Their dream is to help the Gospel music industry grow, thrive, and help artists and small businesses achieve their true potential. The launching of The Music and Media Platform Awards (TMMP) is to bring light to the best of Christian talent across the UK decided by multiple Media and Music platforms along with their business strategist Eric Reverence.

The Young Kingz Podcasts is being launched as a community project and is just an example how they are engaging the community to combat the current lockdown and increase mental wellbeing.

Investing skills and pouring love into their children, is their everyday task in order to leave a legacy behind for their five children, who inspire both Shireen and Andrew to be the best they can be and continue to strive to do more for the kingdom of God.

The best is yet to come.
